New to the HSE?
If you already have a HSeLanD account, there is no need to create a new one. Your existing account can be updated to reflect your new role.
If you have not yet registered for HSeLanD, see How do I create a HSeLanD account?
If you are a new starter, your employment details may not yet be available on SAP, and you may be waiting for your personnel number.
While your information is being processed, you can access HSeLanD using Guest Access.
Once your personnel number becomes available and your employment details have been updated on SAP, return to HSeLanD and complete HSE Verification.
If you are unsure about the status of your personnel number, please check with your line manager.
Using Guest Access
Guest Access allows learners to access HSeLanD while waiting for their employment details to become available on SAP.
To use Guest Access:
- In HSeLanD, you can edit or select your work location (e.g. Acute Hospital, HSE Community Services, HSE Centre, National Services and Schemes) when registering or editing your profile.
- Enter 00000000 (eight zeros) when prompted for your personnel number.
- Enter 01/01/2000 when prompted for date of birth.
- Select Guest Access when the option appears.
- Continue with the registration or verification process.
Guest Access is available for up to eight weeks. Once your line manager confirms that your employment details have been updated on SAP, you should proceed with HSE Verification. You will be prompted on all subsequent logins to HSeLanD to verify your account (update your personnel number and date of birth) until you have successfully verified.
How to Complete HSE Verification once you have your Personnel Number
- Sign in to HSeLanD.
- Follow the verification prompts.
- Enter your personnel number.
- Confirm your details.
- Submit your verification request.
If the information entered matches your SAP record, your account will be verified successfully.
Have You Changed Roles?
If you have moved to a new role, service, department or location within the HSE, you should continue to use your existing HSeLanD account.
Do not create a new HSeLanD account.
Using the same account ensures that:
- Your learning history is retained.
- Previously completed learning remains available.
- Your certificates remain in one place.
- Your PDP and professional development records are maintained.
If you have been assigned a new personnel number, or your employment details have changed, you may need to complete HSE Verification to ensure your HSeLanD account remains matched to your current employment record.
If your updated details are not yet available on SAP, you can continue to use Guest Access until HSE Verification can be completed.
If you need to amend your details within HSeLanD, see Update your HSeLanD profile.
